Richard Bruce Cheney is the son of Richard Herbert Cheney of the late Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. He was born January 30, 1941, in Lincoln Nebraska. At the age of 13 Richard and his family moved across Nebraska, eventually moving to Casper where his dad was the Director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture local soil conservancy district.
