Richard B. Cheney is a distinguished American public servant, businessman as well as a politician. Cheney is a prominent figure in Washington politics has worked under four presidents in the United States. George W. Bush is the fourth. Bush nominated Cheney to be his vice president running partner in July of 2000. Bush cited Cheney's wisdom as well as his judgment and expertise. Dick Cheney is a former Chief of Staff of the President. He also served in Congress, and he was the secretary of defense. It's clear that he is a true gentleman and has earned the respect of all Republicans and Democrats. Cheney believes his role as a member of the Bush Administration is to be an honest and discreet advisor. Cheney declared that when he decided to accept the Republican nomination as vice president Cheney was looking forward to working alongside a President who works with all parties to reach his objectives and work with his opponents in good faith. Richard Bruce Cheney is the son of Richard Herbert Cheney of the late Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. He was born January 30, 1941, in Lincoln Nebraska. At the age of 13 Richard and his family moved across Nebraska, eventually moving to Casper where his dad was the Director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture local soil conservancy district.
